The Sarsangan Priority Veterans Cricket Series 2025 witnessed thrilling encounters on its second day, with Antruz Aviators and Ultracon Madgaon Royals securing decisive wins.
In the first match, Mapusa Dream Crushers, after electing to bat, recovered from an early wobble to post a competitive 164/8 in their 20 overs. Vibhav Pai (35) and Amit Kamat (36) provided the impetus, while Bhushan Pai Vernekar (19) and Shailesh Mahajan (11) added valuable runs. Sarvesh Kamat (2/13), Jaiprakash Kunde (2/22), Prasad Bhende (1/23), and Rasik Pai Khot (1/27) were the key bowlers for Antruz Aviators.
Chasing 165, Antruz Aviators overcame an early setback to reach the target of 167/4 in 18.5 overs. Sachin Kenkre (38) and Rasik Pai Khot (35*) anchored the chase, supported by Sarvesh Kamat (23) and Sandeep Phaldesai (19). In the second match, Delite Titans, batting first, posted a commanding 173, recovering from an early collapse. Amogh Namshiker (35), Siddesh Desai (37), and Paresh Prabhudesai (30) were the main contributors.
Ultracon Madgaon Royals, in response, overcame an early scare to chase down the target, finishing at 177/4 in 18.1 overs. Vishwesh Kamat (38), Dr. Sarvesh Kamat (40), and Samrudh Hegde Desai (24*) played crucial innings. Sachin Neurekar (2/30) was the pick of the bowlers for Delite Titans. Samrudh Hegde Desai was awarded Man of the Match, Dr. Sarvesh Kamat received the Best Batter award, and Sachin Neurekar won the Best Bowler award.
