As part of Independence Day celebrations, Zito Archery Academy organized an archery competition at Maruti Temple Hall, Mala “ Panaji. Pushti Joshi and Archit Joshi emerged champions in the girls and boys categories, respectively, to claim the Mayor Cup.
In the sub-junior category barebow, Abdul Chowhan finished first ahead of Cael Menezes (2nd) and Arjun Gohel (3rd) and in the girls' category, Saanvi Gavade emerged as the winner. In the junior category, Archit Joshi finished first, beating the competition from Ridhaan Gohil (2nd) and MC Aiden Siqueira (3rd). In the girls' section, Swara Pai finished first.
In the senior category girls, first place was won by Pushti Joshi while Sangel Serrao was second ahead of third-placed Simran Kapadi. In the boys' category, Abhir Bhansula won while MC Clannon Siqueira was second and Rhys Dominic Carvalho third. In Patoleo competition, first place was won by Raisa Fernandes, Arnold Carvalho was second and Siya Kundaikar third.
Deputy Mayor of CCP, Vasant Agshikar and Deepak Narvekar from the Tourism Department distributed the prizes. The event was sponsored by Real Group of Companies, Aashirwad Construction, Edgar Gasper, Leonara R Godinho and Zito Godinho.
Inacio Noronha, a sports journalist and president of Good Shepherd, was felicitated by the Zito Archery Academy for his social work during the Covid-19 pandemic. He was felicitated at the hands of Leonara Godinho.
