Around 60 athletes selected to take part in West Zone Athletics C'ship in Mumbai in October

Around 60 young athletes of different age groups have been selected to participate in the 34th West Zone Athletics Championship which will take place at Mumbai, from October 4 to 6, according to list prepared by Goa Athletics Association.

The athletes for U-14, U-16, U-18 and U-20 age groups have been selected based on their performance at the 55th State Athletics Championship held recently.

A meeting of all the selected athletes has been called at Athletics Stadium Bambolim on August 30 at 3.00pm.

All the selected Athletes must attend the meeting and give their consent for participation for the West Zone Athletics Championship, said an official of Goa Athletics Association.

Under “ 14 Girls: Varnika Parmar, Sheryne Fernandes, Aneeqa Shaikh, Sydelle Martins, Winoska D’Silva, Esther Fernandes, Archi Katkar, Shyla Naik, Alaya Shetty, Lillian Rodrigues and Neeva Naik

Under “ 16 Years Boys: Prosen Mondal, Sagar Kumar Paswan, Jay Kunkolkar, Chandan Ghosh, Niket Chodankar, Brijesh Nagvekar, Stefano Alvares, Yuval Dhyani, Jahan Menonkress and Sarthak Patil

Under “ 16 Years Girls: Cwen Pereira, Kezia Almeida, Aline Peixoto, Xanelle E. Lacerda, Cinderella Pawar, Reiya Kerkar and Roshni Mehta

Under “ 18 Years Boys: Arman Yadav, Rehan Chapparband, Gleenson Dias, Marcus Fernandes, Dhruv Phadte, Arsh Khan, Shivang Naik, Ganesh Tamburkar, Benedict Castelina, Nashon Pinto and Nigel Rapoz
