Bruno Coutinho-coached Goa beach soccer team continued their impressive performance in the National Games with yet another runaway win, trouncing Punjab 19-5 on Sunday morning at Colva Beach.
With two successive wins, the hosts sit on top of Group B table with six points followed by Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha. In the four-team group, Goa take on Uttarakhand to decide the group winner on Monday.
If Goa emerge group winners, they will take on the second-placed team from Group A. Kerala lead Group A with six points from two matches and also play their last encounter on Monday. Kerala defeated Lakshadweep and earlier had won against Jharkhand and will now take on Delhi in the last match.
The semifinals will be played on November 1 morning and the final on the same day in the evening.
