In a strong endorsement of his leadership, Janardhan Bhandari was unanimously re-elected as President of the Canacona Sports & Cultural Club (CSCC) ” the body managing the Canacona Sports Academy ” for a fifth consecutive term.
The election took place during the 24th Annual General Meeting of the CSCC, held on September 7, at Shradhanand Vidyalaya, Painginim. The newly elected executive committee will serve a three-year term from 2025 to 2028.
The CSCC, a premier sports institution in Canacona taluka, has been instrumental in promoting and nurturing sporting talent from remote regions for the past 24 years. According to academy sources, the CSCC's efforts have enabled over 65 players to represent Goa at the national level across various sports disciplines. Notably, three women and one man have represented India at prestigious international events including the Baseball World Cup, Asian Baseball Championship, and Macau Marathon.
Bhandari’s continued leadership reflects the deep trust and appreciation the members have for his sustained contributions and vision for the Academy’s development.
