SFX Camarxet stormed into the next round after thrashing Paldem SC 6-1 in the 9-a-side Curtorim inter-ward football tournament organised by Sporting Club Virabhat at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim.
Paldem SC opened the scoring through Godwin Mascarenhas in the fourth minute to take a 1-0 lead. However, SFX Camarxet bounced back strongly as Casvino Fernandes equalised in the 10th minute.
Casvino then struck twice more in the 12th and 20th minutes to complete his hat-trick and give Camarxet a commanding 3-1 lead at half-time.
In the second half, Camarxet continued their dominance, adding three more goals through Casvino Fernandes, Casmion Fernandes and Kingsley Fernandes in the 35th, 37th and 40th minutes respectively to complete a convincing 6-1 victory.
Casvino Fernandes of SFX Camarxet was adjudged Man of the Match. The award was presented by former Salgaocar player Stefen Fernandes.
