Cuncolim Educational Society’s College of Arts & Commerce, Cuncolim, emerged victorious against Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim 3-2 and secured the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Football Men Championship 2025-26, organised by Goa University at SAG’s Athletics Stadium, Bambolim.
It was during the 40th and 43rd minutes that defensive lapses from Rosary College provided Swavel Furtado with the opportunity to receive through balls effortlessly, dribble past the goalkeeper, and successfully score two goals, thus taking a lead in the first half. After numerous attempts, Rosary College managed to score one goal in the 46th minute, through Salvador Gama, who received the ball outside the penalty area and executed a shot into the top left corner of the goal, evading the goalkeeper and concluding the first half with a score of 2-1.
The second half commenced with both teams maintaining the same level of intensity and approach. Soon, in the 58th minute, Tohid Yattanolli executed a remarkable move and finished with a ground shot into the left corner, extending the lead to 3-1. The match progressed with both teams making numerous attempts, with Rosary College missing several opportunities to equalise or take the lead. Ultimately, in the 91st minute, Garrison Fernandes successfully scored from a cross, bringing the score to 3-2. Following this, Rosary College fought vigorously to regain their footing in the game; however, the match concluded with a final score of 3-2 in favor of CES College, Cuncolim.

Goa University Inter-Collegiate Football Men Championship 2025-26 witnessed a participation of 42 college teams.
Best Player of the championship was awarded to Garrison Fernandes of Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim for being the highest scorer of the championship with 10 goals.
The valedictory ceremony was honored by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Caitano Fernandes, President of Goa Football Association. The event also featured Guest of Honor Prof. Brahma Edwin Barretto, Principal of CES College, Cuncolim, Dr. Francis Lobo, College Director of Physical Education and Sports at Rosary College, Navelim, Dr. Savio Fernandes, College Director of Physical Education and Sports at MES College, Zuarinagar along with Balachandra B. Jadar, Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports at Goa University. Together, they presented medals and trophies to the finalists.
