Compassion FC scored an emphatic 4-0 victory over Kelbai Sports Club in the 6th GFA Vedanta Women's League at Rosary Ground, Navelim on Sunday.
Compassion completely dominated the game, riding on the brilliance of Stessi Cardozo who scored a brace and was later named as the Player of the match. Compassion's first goal came in the 16th minute when Joyvi Fernandes picked up the ball from Swellen Fernandes to score.
In the 36th minute, Swellen scored with a long-ranger as rival goalkeeper Amisha Shetgaonkar fumbled in goal. In the second half, Stessi Cardozo unleashed a snap shot that found the net in the 48th minute. In the 75th minute, Stessi scored again to make it 4-0.
Royla Fernandes, deputy chairperson of women's football committee, who was the chief guest, presented the Player of the match prize to Stessi Cardozo.
