Compassion FC coach Mario Aguiar has said his team will not take their next opponents United Club of Telaulim (UCT) lightly, insisting that every opponent in the GFA Vedanta Women’s League is “tough”.
Speaking ahead of their fixture against UCT at Rosary Ground, Navelim on Tuesday, Aguiar said, “Every team in the league is a tough opponent and we can’t take anyone lightly. Our plans are different for every team, but the approach is the same to progress in the tournament.”
“It was a good performance against FC Goa, although we lost 0-2. The players are carrying the confidence from that match. But it is important for us not to record first points after two losses,” Aguiar said. “Every team has their strengths and weaknesses, and for us it’s about capitalising on the opponents’ weak points and deliver our best football.”
Meanwhile, UCT coach Francis Lobo is also hoping that his team will register full point on Tuesday. “It is a very important match for us. If we get three points against Compassion FC on Tuesday, it will provide a massive boost for us,” Lobo said.
