Dados Boys got the better of Abuja Boys 5-4 via the tie-breaker in a thrilling semifinal of the inter-ward tournament.
Abuja Boys started strong, with Vishal nearly putting them ahead in the 8th minute, only to see his solo effort rattle the Dados Boys' post. The first half was a tactical battle, with both teams prioritising possession and cautious play.
The second half saw a shift in momentum. In the 35th minute, Maverick of Dados Boys capitalised on a pinpoint pass from Samuel, unleashing a powerful strike that left Abuja's goalkeeper Tino with no chance. Dados Boys held the lead until the closing stages.
With time running out, Abuja Boys piled on the pressure and their persistence was rewarded. Vishal's well-placed shot found Keegan, who slotted the ball home with composure, sending the game to a penalty shootout.
Dados Boys converted all their penalties through Cavin, Joyron, Samuel, and Maverick while Cedron, Vishal, and Rosely found the net for Abuja Boys. However, their hopes were dashed when the final penalty taker missed.
Maverick's outstanding performance throughout the match, including the crucial goal, earned him the Man of the Match award.
