MARGAO: A fine brace by Joash Colaco powered Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda to a 2-1 victory over Salcete Football Club in the GFA U-17 Division II League match played at the Don Bosco Oratory Ground, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
Don Bosco Oratory dominated from the outset and opened the scoring as early as the 4th minute when Joash Colaco fired in a sharp shot past the Salcete goalkeeper. Riding on the early momentum, Joash doubled the lead in the 26th minute with his second goal of the match.
Salcete FC mounted a response in the second half, and their efforts bore fruit in the 55th minute when John Fernandes pulled one back. However, Don Bosco Oratory held firm to seal the win.
