Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda prevailed over Guardian Angel Sports Club Curchorem 6-5 via the tiebreaker to move into the semifinals of the UCT Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by United Club of Telaulim at Telaulim ground on Sunday.
In a match played between two title aspirants, Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda displayed an attacking brand of soccer. Roque Borges of Don Bosco played a pivotal role while Fernandes gave his best for Guardian Angel.
Don Bosco opened the scoring through Rahul Sharma in the 26th minute. In the second half, Milton Fernandes equalised for Guardian Angel in the 56th minute.
In the tiebreaker, Alfred Noronha, Raul Sharma, Cliff Barretto, Francis Andrade and Mario Noronha scored for Don Bosco Oratory. For Guardian Angel, Keegan Fernandes, Godevico De Costa, Milton Fernandes and Norman Dias found the net.
Socorro Ferrao, executive committee member of United Club of Telaulim, presented the Man of the Match prize to Roque Borges of Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda.
