PANAJI: Dempo Cricket Club defeated Chowgule Sports Club by 4 wickets to enter the semis of the 3rd Chandrakant Karapurkar Trophy.

Winning the toss and batting first Chowgule could score only 114/9 in 20 overs due to disciplined bowling by Dempo bowlers. A 60 runs partnership between Vinesh Satarkar (49) and Jagdhish Patil (12*) for the last wicket helped Chowgule to reach a respectable total.

In reply, Dempo comfortably surpassed the total in 17.2 overs.
