Dempo Sports Club's head coach, Samir Naik, expressed his satisfaction after his team’s 1-0 victory over Namdhari FC in Punjab.
“We are truly delighted with this result,” said Naik, who has been a legendary figure at the club. “Namdhari FC is one of the stronger teams in the league this season, and we’ve proven our quality with this hard-fought win. We knew it would be a tough match, especially against such a well-organized side with talented players. They pressed us hard to regain possession, but we held firm.”
Naik emphasized the importance of recovery and maintaining focus for the upcoming matches. “We have to be prepared for the next match with the same seriousness we had for this one, to keep our winning streak going,” he added.
Although Dempo missed a few scoring opportunities, Naik expressed his satisfaction with the team's overall performance. “I’m happy with the win and even more so with the players' effort in both halves. This victory is dedicated to our fans, who supported us strongly during the match.”
The coach stressed that maintaining humility and working hard for future victories is key. “We have to continue focusing on every match, as each one presents a challenge. But we’re on the right path, and we’ll keep pushing forward.”
