Dicarapale Sports Club prevailed over Don Bosco Fatorda 5-4 via tiebreaker to win the 12th Our Lady of Fatima Soccer Cup organised by Dicarapale Sports Club at Dicarapale ground. Nearly 3,000 spectators braved the rains to watch the festive final.
In the 36th minute, Don Bosco Fatorda drew the first blood through Micheal Dias, whose long ranger beat the Dicarapale keeper hands down. At the start of the second half, Milton Colaco equalised for Dicarapale. The full-time score was 1-1.
In the tiebreaker, Dicarpale SC netted through Adarsh, William, Ajay and Agnelo. For Don Bosco Fatorda, Michael, Hanslum and Mario scored.
Savio D'Silva, South Goa District Congress president was the chief guest and gave away the prizes. Fr Joaquim Fernandes, Parish Priest, Vallab Varik, social worker, presided over the finals.
