Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda made history by becoming the first team to reach the finals of the inaugural Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy 2025, organized by Margao Sports Club in association with Batora United. In a thrilling semifinal match at the DSYA Ground in Curtorim, Fr Agnelo YSC stunned United Sports Club Seraulim 1-0, securing their spot in the final.
Both teams came out with attacking intent, controlling the game with precise short passes and aggressive play. Despite their best efforts, neither team managed to break the deadlock during the first half, which ended 0-0. The decisive moment came early in the second half, when Levon Clement of Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda struck a powerful shot from 30 yards out. The ball hit the crossbar before finding its way into the net in the 47th minute, giving Fr Agnelo YSC the all-important goal that took them into the final.
DYSP Wilson D'Souza presented the Man of the Match award to Levon Clement for his standout performance and match-winning strike. Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda will now look ahead to the final, where they will compete for the title of the 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy.
South Goa United down Sesa FA 2-0
South Goa United Club of Sports Culture claimed a comfortable 2-0 victory over Sesa Football Academy in the Under-15 League I match held at Don Bosco Oratory Ground in Fatorda on Sunday. The match was largely dominated by South Goa United, who took the lead in the 17th minute through a well-taken goal by Rahul Sherpali. The early strike set the tone for the game, with South Goa United controlling the play and creating several chances. The momentum continued in their favor, and in added time during the first half, South Goa United were awarded a penalty. Kanhiya stepped up to convert the spot kick in the 40+1 minute, doubling the lead and putting the game beyond Sesa Football Academy's reach.
