The Alcon GSB Unity Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, organized by Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust in collaboration with Goa Saraswat Samaj, witnessed an action-packed Sunday at the MCC Ground, Margao. CD Margao Mega Strikers continued their dominant run, securing their fourth consecutive victory, while SinQ Rangers UC notched their second win in the tournament.
In the first match of the day, CD Margao Mega Strikers remained unbeaten, edging past Madgaon Royals by 18 runs. Batting first, Mega Strikers posted 143/8 in their 20 overs, with Aditya Angle (36), Sidhit Raiturkar (25), and Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar (23) leading the charge. In response, Madgaon Royals fought hard but were bowled out for 125 in 19.2 overs, with Kaushal Hattangadi (34) and Kartik Hattangadi (31) being the top scorers. Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar, who contributed with both bat and ball (23 runs & 2/23), was named Man of the Match.
The second match saw SinQ Rangers UC register a comfortable 7-wicket victory over Rising Stars of Antruz with 25 balls to spare. After restricting Antruz to 149/7 in 20 overs, SinQ Rangers chased down the target in just 15.5 overs, finishing at 153/3. Megh Netravalkar (37 runs & 1/20) delivered an all-round performance, earning him the Man of the Match award.
With this defeat, Rising Stars of Antruz remain winless in the tournament, having lost all five of their matches.
