The Goa Athletics Association and World Kids Athletics in collaboration with Athletics Federation of India and Decathlon, Calangute will celebrate World Kids Athletic Day on April 22, at Athletic Stadium, Bambolim from 2:30 pm.
The day will be celebrated with Athletic events for U-8, (born on or after 23/04/16), U-10 (born on or after 23/04/14), U-12 (born on or after 23/04/12) and U-14 years (born on or after 23/04/10) in the boys and girls categories.
For U-8, the events will be 50 mtr run, tennis ball throw, standing broad lump while for U-10, 60 mtrs run, standing broad jump and back throw 1 kg.
The events for U-12 are 80 mtr run, kids javelin and long jump; while for U-14, 100 mtr run, shot put and long jump will be events.
"Interested Athlete should send their entry via google forms to Desiree Pereira, Sonali Shetyekar, Minakshi Karapurkar and Gangaram Lambor by April. There is no entry fee. All the participants will be awarded with prizes," stated the Goa Athletics Association Honorary Secretary Sharendra Naik in a press release.
