Goan surfer Sugar secures final spot in Indian Open

Goan surfer Sugar Banarase secured a spot in the women's open final category after putting up a strong challenge and scoring 8.93 points on the second day of the 5th edition of the Indian Open of Surfing which began at the picturesque Sasihithlu beach in Mangalore, Karnataka.

The three-day premier surfing competition of India is the official national championship of the Surfing Federation of India “ the governing body for the sport of surfing and stand-up paddling.

The Tamil Nadu surfers extended their dominance on Day 2 by securing all four final spots in the Men’s Open category, and two spots in the Women’s Open category.

The three day surfing extravaganza is organised by the Surfing Swami Foundation and hosted by Mantra Surf Club, under the aegis of Surfing Federation of India.

PANAJIThe Goa Kudo Team had a successful outing at the kudo National Championship Cup 2024-25, which was held in Solan, Himachal Pradesh from May 25 to 31.
