Good Angels emerged winners in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out after a stalemate against Holy Cross Vaddie in the semi-finals of the inter-ward tournament, organised by V.P. Cana Benaulim.
Despite controlling the match from the outset, Holy Cross Vaddie lacked precision in their finishing with Good Angels' goalkeeper Sugitesh making a string of impressive saves to keep them at bay. The second half mirrored the first, with both teams seeing plenty of possession but failing to find the back of the net.
The outcome hinged on a penalty shoot-out, where Sugitesh once again proved to be the hero. He along with teammates Savil, Victor, and Styrus, all converted their spot kicks. Holy Cross Vaddie's Kayden and Elton managed to score, but it wasn't enough, as Victor's exceptional performance throughout the game secured him the Man of the Match award.
