Gopal Krishna win Aldona Volleyball Champions League 2.0

The Aldona Volleyball Champions League 2.0, a three-day auction-based volleyball tournament organized by Shri Sateri Bhagwati Youth Aldona, concluded on a high note at Galvar Ground, Aldona, with Shree Gopalkrishna emerging as the champions, while Sushant XI finished as the runners-up.

The league witnessed participation from eight teams across the Aldona constituency, namely OPG, Pajeshwar Boys, Sushant XI, Punola United Sports & CC, Siddhi Sports & Cultural Association, Shree Ram Yodha’s, Shree Balpurush Titans, and Shree Gopalkrishna, making it a highly competitive and engaging sporting event.

In the league stage, Day 1 saw Shree Gopalkrishna secure the top position while Shree Balpurush Titans finished second to qualify for the playoffs. On Day 2, Punola United Sports & CC topped the group standings, with Sushant XI finishing second to complete the lineup for the knockout stage.

The playoffs featured thrilling encounters, culminating in a gripping Grand Final on Sunday where Shree Gopalkrishna displayed exceptional teamwork and skill to clinch the title.

The tournament was powered by Dr. Tarak M. Arolkar, Councillor, Ward 7, Mapusa Municipal Council, and also featured a vibrant atmosphere with a grand housie prize of ₹30,000, adding to the festive spirit.
