Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Khandola defeated Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao by 2 wickets to emerge winners of theGoa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Men Championship, at Goa University Cricket Ground, Taleigao.
The toss was won by Government College of Arts, Science &Commerce, Khandola who elected to field.
Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College Assagao were restricted to 147/10 in 20 overs after Aryan Narvekar 67(39) and Udit Yadav 45(44) helped in building a decent total.
It was Narendra Tari (3/30), Paarth Kossambe (2/21) and Abdul Mashal (2/27) who managed to get wickets at regular intervals for Khandola college.
In reply, Government College Khandola chased down the target which went down the wire.
Sarvesh Sawant 89(60) was the architect of the innings with his brilliant knock. Aryan Narvekar (2/19) and Fardin Khan (2/26) were the pick of bowlers for Assagao.
The chief guest for the presentation ceremony was Sangam Talaulikar, Executive Engineer and Officiating University Engineer, Goa University who gave away the prizes in the presence of Balachandra B. Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University.
