PANAJI: Holiday SC Arpora cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Nerul SC in their GFA Third Division League clash at Moira ground on Thursday.
Chirag was the star of the show, netting a brace, while Ray added another to seal the win. Holiday took control early, with Chirag opening the scoring in the 12th minute. He doubled the lead in the 31st minute with his second, and Ray added a third just five minutes later to give Holiday a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.
Despite Nerul's efforts to fight back in the second half, Holiday’s defense remained resolute, securing all three points.
Meanwhile, Verem United SCC powered past United Club of Nerul with a commanding 5-2 victory at Siolim ground. Raju and Yallappa each bagged a brace, with Gopal adding a fifth. UC Nerul responded with goals from Hudson D’mello and Anand Asgaonkar, but it wasn’t enough to stop Verem’s dominant performance.
