Infant Jesus HS stun Perpetual Succour to advance


MARGAO: Infant Jesus High School, Colva, pulled off a surprise 2-0 victory over Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, to advance to the next round of the 5th All Goa Sir Jawaharlal Da Costa Inter-School Football Tournament. The tournament is being organized by United Sports Club of Seraulim and is being played at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground.

In the Under-12 boys category, Infant Jesus H.S. Colva struck once in each half through Sharuk Khan and Farhan Khan to eliminate Perpetual Succour Convent H.S.

In the U-12 Girls Category Marina English High School, Verna defeated Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna 2-0. Goals were scored by Priyanshu and Joy Callodo.

In the U-14 Girls Category, Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna got past Marina English H.S. Verna 3-1 via tiebreaker after a goalless draw in regulation time. Fatima Convent High School, Margao beat Infant Jesus H.S. Colva 2-0, thanks to a brace by Shenera Rodrigues.

In the U-14 Boys Category, Perpetual Succour Convent H.S., Navelim secured a 3-0 win over Our Lady of Health H.S., Cuncolim. Aryan Nevagi scored twice while Liroy Gomes added one more.
