MARGAO: Kakoda Boys, GSC Rumad Usgao, 7 Star Panaji, and Red Riders Gaondongri advanced to the quarterfinals of the All Goa Floodlight Volleyball Tournament, organized by United Boys of Ambaulim, at the Ambaulim Volleyball Court in Quepem.
In the opening match, GSC Rumad Usgao triumphed over Sipli Maia Suplear with a 25-7, 25-27, 15-11 victory. The second match saw Kakoda Boys narrowly defeat Saptakoteshwar Boys Morpirla with a 26-24, 25-23 scoreline. Red Riders Gaondongri edged out United Friend Colony Marlem in a thrilling encounter, winning 23-25, 27-25, 15-9, while 7 Star Panaji comfortably defeated Vithoba Boys Molewado with a 25-19, 25-19 result.
The tournament was officially inaugurated by chief guest and cricket player Ankush Gaonkar, in the presence of GFA executive member and Assolda Sarpanch Custodia Fernandes.
