MARGAO
Karuna Football Foundation (KFF), which runs the Compassion FC football club, will conduct trials for girls from Goa on Tuesday, July 20 (from 10 am) at the artificial turf ground at Fatorda.
The trials are to select girls from classes 6 to 10 to be a part of the National Residential Girls Football Academy, which is run in collaboration with the Apostolic Carmel Sisters at the Holy Rosary Convent High School, Nuvem.
The girls have to report at 10 am with a copy of their birth certificate and Aadhar card in their proper playing kit at the venue to Kennedy D’Silva.
Coaches interested can also come during the trials with their CV at 9.30 am and meet the officials of the Foundation at the venue.
The residential academy is the first one for girls in Goa and the fourth in India. The KFF has been established to reach out mainly to the children from the underprivileged and marginalised communities and has been serving children from the orphanages, slums and streets of Goa. The academy will commence its programme in the first week of August at Nuvem.
