The 2nd KJs 3-a-Side Basketball Tournament saw a record 43 teams compete in Under-12 and Under-14 categories, utilising a league-cum-knockout format. The tournament highlighted the growing enthusiasm for basketball among young Goan athletes.
The results: Under-12 Boys: Loyola-B defeated Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 4-3. Under-12 Girls: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, defeated Hoopers 5-1. Under-14 Boys: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, defeated Loyola Ignatians 8-7. Under-14 Girls: Sonics-A defeated Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda “ A 7-3. Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, achieved significant success, with teams reaching all four finals and winning two championship titles.The event was graced by Savio Da Cunha, an Ex-National level basketball player, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion.
