Laziz CQS wrapped up their Alcon GSB Unity Cup T-20 campaign with a commanding 68-run victory over Rising Stars of Antruz in their final league match, played under floodlights at MCC Ground, Margao, on Thursday evening.
Batting first, Laziz CQS posted an imposing total of 209 runs in 19.5 overs, led by contributions from Vidheya Kossambe (36), Varun Kudchadkar (35), Nikhil Virginkar (35), and Deval Karmali (33). In response, Rising Stars of Antruz struggled to keep up with the required run rate and managed 141/9 in 20 overs, with Paarth Kossambe (36) and Vaibhav Nagarsenkar (22) being the top scorers.
Sarvesh Sinari, who delivered a match-winning spell of 3/19, was named ‘Man of the Match’. Despite the win, Laziz CQS had already exited the tournament, while Antruz ended their campaign without securing a single victory.
