Lotlikar Lions and Lawyer Challengers won their respective matches in thrilling fashion in the ongoing Advocates Cricket League (ACL T20) 2025, at the GCA ground in Porvorim, on Monday.
In the first match, Lotlikar Lions pounced on United Brothers to record a seven-wicket victory.
United Brothers, batting first, were bundled out for a paltry 99 in 17.2 overs, with Sahil Khot (40) being their standout batter.
Showmik Angle (15) and Alphy Dsouza (10) were the only other two batters to reach double digits.
Lotlikar Lions’ disciplined bowling attack, led by Kunal Naik Gaonkar (3/22) and Sunil Bugde (2/14), stifled the United Brothers’ batting lineup.
In reply, Lotlikar Lions overhauled the target in just 13.4 overs, with Shailesh Redkar top-scoring with an unbeaten 49. Aditya Naik remained not out on 28 as Lotlikar Lions made 102/3.
In the day’s second match, Lawyer Challengers prevailed over Legal Titans by 16 runs.
Lawyer Challengers, batting first, posted a moderate 125/9 in allotted 20 overs, with Mithun Govekar (43), Sachin Sardessai (26), and Iftikar Agha (16) being the main contributors.
Siddhesh Bhaip claimed four wickets for just 17 runs, and was well supported by Vedank Naik with figures of 3/22.
In reply, Legal Titans made heavy weather of the moderate 126-run target, losing wickets at regular intervals to be finally dismissed for 109 in 19.4 overs.
Satchit Mauskar put up a fight with a 34-run knock, while Pravin Gawas (16) and Sachin Ramnathkar (15) did their bit.
Vijay Tar claimed impressive figures of 4/20 to be adjudged the man of the match.
