The Hockey South Goa Junior District Championship commenced at Guddi with thrilling action on the opening day.
In the inaugural match of the Women’s Section, Maina Hockey Club defeated Goa Hockey Promoters 4“0, after leading 3“0 at halftime. The scorers for Maina Hockey Club were Nabubi (1), Aachal (2), and Anamika (1), showcasing their attacking prowess and strong teamwork throughout the game.
In the Junior Men’s Section, Maina Hockey Club registered another convincing 4“0 victory over Goa Hockey Promoters, with Rahul netting a hat-trick and Abbusifian adding one goal. The dominant performances from both men’s and women’s teams clearly set the tone for the rest of the championship, highlighting Maina Hockey Club’s preparedness and skill.
