Fondegal YC stormed into the next round of the 9-a-side Curtorim Interward Football Tournament 2026 after registering a commanding 4-0 victory over Novovaddo SC at the St Alex Church ground, Curtorim. The tournament is being organised by Sporting Club Virabhat.
Fondegal YC took the lead early in the match when Suraj Nagekar found the net in the 10th minute to make it 1-0. Novovaddo SC created a few scoring opportunities in the first half but failed to convert their chances.
The second half belonged entirely to Mario Mascarenhas, who produced a brilliant hat-trick by scoring in the 35th, 40th and 45th minutes to seal an emphatic win for Fondegal YC.
Mario Mascarenhas was adjudged Man of the Match. The award was presented by Conceicao Castanha, treasurer of Sporting Club Virabhat.
