Goa Football Association (GFA) Senior Vice President Anthony Pango has expressed immense satisfaction over the successful conduct of the Super Cup, praising the teams, officials, and supporters for their collective effort in making the event a resounding success.

Pango extended his gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, and Executive Director Ajay Gaude for their “unwavering support and encouragement,” acknowledging their role in strengthening football activities in the state. He also applauded the crowds for their “amazing support,” which added to the tournament’s vibrant atmosphere.

A long-serving and respected administrator, Pango has been instrumental in the development of football in Goa, with a strong focus on youth development, grassroots initiatives, and the smooth execution of leagues and tournaments. He has consistently emphasized the need for a structured roadmap for Goan football, highlighting talent nurturing and elite player development as key priorities. Pango is also actively involved in community-based sporting initiatives, including inter-village football tournaments.

The recent back-to-back win by FC Goa also drew praise from Pango, who congratulated the team for their outstanding performance.

Speaking to The Goan Everyday, Pango expressed heartfelt appreciation to all participating teams for their commitment and passion, noting that their efforts helped foster a spirit of camaraderie among fans and stakeholders.

He reaffirmed the GFA’s pledge to maintain strong partnerships with clubs across the state, recognizing them as essential stakeholders in promoting transparency, accountability, and progress in Goan football.

“I am confident that the future of Goa football is extremely bright,” Pango concluded.
