Pawaskar Warriors of Navelim beat Eagle Attackers of Sankhali by 8 runs to win Eagle Premier League 2022.
After winning the toss, Eagle Attackers put Pawaskar Warriors in to bat and they scored 167 all out with Samarth Gawas top-scoring with 50 (4 fours & 4 sixes). Ronal Korgaonkar (29) and Avinash Gawas (23) were the other major contributors to the total. For Eagle Attackers, Sunil Shirodkar took 2 wickets for 30 runs and Prarav Abhyankar took 2 wickets for 37 runs.
In reply, Eagle Attackers managed to score 159 for 9 in the 20-over-per-side match. Pranav Abhayankar showed his all-round abilities to score 29 with 4 fours. Rohit Ghadi (21) and Parag Sakhlikar (18) were the other top scorers. For Pawaskar Warriors, Sankalp Pednekar took 4 wickets for 29 while Kalpesh Gawas took 2 wickets for 21 runs and Sahii Gawas took 1 wicket for 31 runs.
The winners got the cash prize of Rs 55,555, sponsored by Praveen Blaggan in the memory of his brother late Joginder Blaggan and a trophy sponsored by Balasaheb Sawant in memory of his father late Ramchandra Sawant. Eagle Attackers won a cash prize of Rs 33,333, sponsored by Yeshwant Desai in memory of his brother late Jawahar Desai and trophy sponsored by Rajesh Nails in memory of his brother late Vasudev Naik.
