Pedda Boys Varca beat Pedda Boys Benaulim 8-7 via the tie-breaker to win the 16th Sereno Cardozo Memorial trophy, organised by Best Friends of Illeant Benaulim, at Illeant ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday.
Varca missed chances through Catty Rodrigues and Colmon Noronha in the 6th and 12th minutes respectively. Marcus, Arif and Sidroy missed chances to score in the second half.
In the tie-breaker, Pedda Boys Varca proved to be better shooters.
The winners collected Rs 25,000 while the runners up received Rs 20,000 plus trophies.
Vencilla Fernandes panch of Village panchayat Cana Benaulim was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners up in the presence of Juliana Fernandes.
