The Ponda Taluka Chess Association(PTCA) organised a 8-day chess coaching camp, at Shree Ram Temple,Karmale-Keri, Ponda.
A total of 25 students took part in the coaching camp.
A tournament was held on the last day. Adhira Akerkar won the tournament unbeaten by winning all 5 games.
Digvijay Gaude clinched the second place while Tanish V Gaude, Shrivardhan Kerkar and Vedangi Gaude had to settle for the third, fourth and fifth places respectively.
The President of Ponda Taluka Association Sagar Sakordekar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Anand Kerkar-teacher of Dr KB Hedgewar High School and Director of VPK Co-Operative Credit Society, Anand Kurtiker-chess coach and other dignitaries.
