Parish Youth Nuvem advanced to the semifinals of the 30th Mandopa Cup 2024 after securing a 5-3 victory in a penalty shootout over Ambelim Sports Club at Mandopa Ground on Sunday.

The match had ended in a goalless draw after full-time, with both teams unable to find the back of the net during regular play. In the ensuing tiebreaker, Nuvem held their nerve, with Nicolau, Godfrey, Jayson, Frazer, and Inacio all converting their penalties. Ambelim responded with goals from Velroy, Michael, and Blasco, but it wasn't enough to overcome Nuvem, who emerged victorious 5-3.

The next match in the tournament is scheduled for December 4, with Margao Sports Club facing Maina Sports Club in the third quarterfinal.
