Sesa FA and Vasco SC played out a goalless draw in the GFA Goa Professional League (Relegation League) at Duler Stadium, Mapusa on Monday.
Vasco SC moved to 10 points from 12 games while Sesa FA stay top in the relegation league with 16 points from 13 games. Faheez had an early shot on goal which was saved by the Vasco keeper. At the other end, Cavin Lobo played a delightful through pass to Savlon Fernandes, who was through on goal and just had the keeper to beat, but his low shot narrowly missed the mark.
Vasco keeper Luis Barreto was strong under the bar making a couple of saves to keep his side in the game. At the other end, Savlon continued to miss his chances when once again Cavin Lobo fed the striker with a good through pass only to see the youngster shoot wide.
Masters badminton: Former stars enthral fans
Day two of the Yonex-Sunrise 45th Indian Masters (Veteran) National Badminton Championships witnessed some enthralling matches between the country's top veteran players.
Former national champions and former India international players Sanave Thomas, Vijay Lancy and J B S Vidyadhar were some of the top players seen in action, winning their matches with ease. Pankaj Naik, Parag Chauhan, Sandip Kanji, Sandeep Fowker, Arnaldo Rodrigues, Wilfred Jacques, and Vrushali Caroozo were among the Goan players who moved ahead. The eight-day championship is underway at Navelim and Fatorda stadiums.
