MARGAO: Rosary College, Navelim edged out Don Bosco College 1-0 in the Inter-Collegiate Women’s Hockey Tournament at Peddem Artificial Ground, Mapusa.
The decisive goal came from Shaundelle Gomes, securing the victory for Rosary College. Earlier in the tournament, Rosary College had defeated Government College, Pernem 3-0, and in the semi-finals, they overcame St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa 2-0 to reach the final.
The team’s captain, Jovinia D. Silva, received the winners’ trophy from Vivek Pawar, Deputy Director of Sports, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. Also present was Mr. Lobo, Director of Sports at Rosary College.
