Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna head into semis

Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna piped St Anthony SC Assolda 4-3 via tiebreaker and moved into the semifinal of the 18th Uguem Rising Club Football Cup 2022 at Uguem ground on Tuesday.

Richard Fernandes opened the scoreline for Assolda in the 6th minute but the joy was short-lived as Imam Gulad of Verna equalised in the tenth minute. Later in the second half Richard Fernandes netted his brace making it 2-1 for Assolda in the 51st minute which was followed by a Roydon Rego equaliser for Verna in the 60th minute.

In the tiebreaker, Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna proved to be better shooters. In another match on Monday Arlem Youth Association defeated Rising Club Uguem 3-2 and moved into the semifinal. Joel Colaco of Arlem was the star of the match with his hattrick, dribbling and power-packed shots. Joel Colaco netted the first goal of the match for Arlem in the tenth minute but Francis Fernandes equalised for Uguem in the 15th minute. Joel Colaco further inflated the lead for Arlem by scoring two more goals in the 26th and 39th minutes respectively.
