Salcete FC felicitated its players and coaches at Bethany Convent High School.
Under the guidance of coaches Donald Rocha and Vaibhav Raut, the team bagged many laurels this season. The U-13 boys emerged as the Salcete Zone winners, South Zone runners-up and Goa State semi-finalists while the U-15 boys were crowned the winners of Salcete Zone, and South District, and were the Goa State runners-up.
Brahmanand Shankhwalker, former footballer and Padmashri awardee, Salcete FC chairman Agnelo Fernandes, club's general secretary Jacinto Fernandes and club treasurer Sunil Naik were present for the function.
The school headmistress Sister Mary Flavia D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks with a special mention for Alberto Colaco, former general secretary of the AIFF, who sowed the seed for the club which blossomed into many international, State and club-level players and international coaches.
