A triple strike by Senoy Olveira enabled Dramapur Sports Club rout Navelim Sporting Club 7-3 in the Salcete Zone GFA Third Division League at Dramapur Ground, on Wednesday.
Dramapur led 4-0 at half time. Dramapur dominated the ball straight from the kick-off, building the attacks and using the wings to penetrate the opponents's box. The deadlock was broken in the 17th minute when Senoy Olveira punted the ball to the far corner of the net. After taking the lead, Dramapur didn't take their foot off the paddle and in the 32nd minute, Joshua Niasso doubled the lead.
Senoy Olveira, who was in thick action, put the issue beyond doubt. Juneioh Vaz also added his name to the scorers' list in the 43rd minute. Crossing over, Dramapur slackened their pace and allowed their opponents freedom to penetrate inside their penalty box.
Babun Sarma reduced the margin in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute, Cleaver D'Costa made it 5-2 in favour of Dramapur. Terrance Miranda pulled another goal back for Navelim Sporting in the 67th minute. Senoy Olveira registered his hat-trick in the 67th minute.
St Rock's YC down UB Dando 3-1
St Rock's Youth Club, Majorda defeated United Boys of Dando-Colva 3-1 in the Salcete Zone GFA Third Division League at St John the Baptist Dando Ground, Benaulim on Wednesday. St Rock's were leading 2-0 at the breather.
St Rock's held the upper hand in the opening session and their breakthrough came in the 9th minute when Russelio Fernandes bulged the net. The goal galvanised St Rock's and they mounted pressure on the rival citadel.
Royston Pacheco scored the insurance goal in the 63rd minute. Crossing over, St Rock's continued their attacks and in the 63rd minute, Myron Pereira blasted home. Bevan Gomes pulled one back for Colva in the 79th minute.
St Sebastian edge Raia Sporting 2-1
St Sebastian Youth Club got the better of Raia Sporting Club 2-1 in the Salcete Zone GFA Third Division League at Don Bosco Oratory Ground, Fatorda on Wednesday. After a goalless first half, Frenz Cardozo put St Sebastian into the lead. Frazer Miranda doubled the lead in the 70th minute. Jonathan Mascarenhas pulled one back for Raia Sporting Club.
