Goa registered their second win on the trot in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as they beat Manipur by seven wickets at Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground in Jaipur on Wednesday.
Goa restricted Manipur to 134/9 as their pacers, Lakshay Garg (2-22), Arjun Tendulkar 2-20) and Felix Alemao 2-31, combined to stifle the opposition. Only opener Nitesh Sedai (53 off 42 balls) and Rex Rajkumar (24 off 16 balls) managed to get going for Manipur.
Goa then rode on Sidhesh Lad's 37-ball 59 and Suyash Prabhudessai's unbeaten 45-ball 43 to chase down the target in 17.2 overs. Darshan Misal remained not out on 21.
Goa are now placed second with eight points in Group B, behind leaders Delhi who also have eight points but have a better run rate.
