MARGAO: Sporting Club Davorlim prevailed over Guardian Angel SC Curchorem 5-4 via the tiebreaker in the Betal hatim Villagers cup inter-village football tournament organized by Betalbatim Sporting Club and played at Betalbatim Panchayat ground on Monday.
Both the teams were tied at 1-1 in the normal time. Jaison Dias gave the lead to Guardian Angel SC in the sixth minute while William Niasso equalised for SC Davorlim in the 25th minute.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, William Niasso, Aeren Figueiredo, M. Ajay Raj and Milton Colaco scored for Sporting Club Davorlim while Milroy Clemente, Fedrich Fernandes and Godwin Costa scored for Guardian Angel SC. The man of the match William Niasso of Sporting Club of Davorlim received the award from Arnald Afonso, ex International footballer.
