MARGAO: The fourth edition of Sumati and Venkatesh Shanbhag All Goa Rapid Chess Championship will be held on November 25 and 26, at St Theresa’s High School Hall, Mangor Hill, Vasco.
The prize money of this tournament is Rs 25,000 plus rolling trophy. A total of 68 trophies in main standing and various categories will be awarded to promote chess among young school students.
There will be nine rounds with time control of 25+5. The first round will be played at 2.30 pm. The Fide Arbiter Swapil Hoble will be chief arbiter and Prashant Raikar is the tournament director. Mukund Kambli is the organizing secretary of the event. The tournament is organised by MTCA under the aegis of GCA.
