Prasad Patil's all-round brilliance powered Times of India (ToI) to triumph in the Inter-media T10 Cricket Tournament organised by Sports Journalists Association Goa (SJAG) in collaboration with Goa Cricket Association and Sports Authority of Goa at Panjim Gymkhana ground on Thursday.
ToI, who were the defending champions, beat Navhind Publications by 10 wickets in the one-sided final.
Electing to bowl, Times of India restricted Navhind to 63/9 in the allotted 10 overs with left-arm orthodox spinner Prasad Patil picking a remarkable 6-wicket haul, giving away just 4 runs.
Manish Parab was the top-scorer for Navhind Publications with 34 runs, while Joao Souza made 9 runs. Supporting Patil in the demolition job, Sahir Nawab had the figures of 2/08.
Times of India raced to 64 for no loss in 6.4 overs as Prasad Patil (25) and Akhil Pillai (22) completed the chase with an unfinished opening partnership to take their team to a consecutive title triumph.
Earlier, Navhind Publications beat Prudent Media and Times of India defeated Goan Varta in the semifinal matches.
Ex-GCA President Chetan Desai was the chief guest, while GCA president Mahesh Desai was the guest of honour and gave away the prizes. Ex-GCA president Vipul Phadke, Tulsidas Shetye, GCA secretary, Paresh Phadte, Vice-president, freedom fighter Rohidas (Daad) Dessai, Mahesh Gaonkar, President of SJAG, Dhiraj Mahambre, SJAG Secretary, Kenzil Rodrigues, Aniruddha Raul, Santosh Kubal, Anant Bhakle were also present.
Imtiyaz Shaikh and Yogesh Pilgaonkar umpired the tournament while Umesh Azgaonkar was the scorer.

PANAJITanaya Naik will captain the Goa Women’s Under-23 team in the upcoming Women’s U-23 One Day Trophy 2025-26, scheduled to be held in Dehradun from March 3 to March 11. Goa have been placed in Group E of the league stage and will play five matches in the tournament.
