United Boys of Ambaulim defeated Sao Jose de Areal 3“0 to book a place in the semifinals of the UCT Trophy Inter-Village Football Tournament, organised by the United Club of Telaulim at the Government Primary School ground, Telaulim.

United Boys opened the scoring in the 36th minute through F. Carvalho. Alfino Gonsalves doubled the lead in the 40th minute, before Reagan Simoes sealed the victory with the third goal in the 49th minute.

For his impressive performance, F. Carvalho was adjudged Man of the Match. The award was presented by sports promoter Damacano Mascarenhas to Avlon Fernandes of United Club of Ambaulim.

MARGAOThe Goa Sepaktakraw Association will conduct selection trials for the women’s Sepaktakraw team that will represent the state at the 2nd Khelo India Beach Games 2026, scheduled to be held in Diu from January 5 to 10.The selection trials will take place on December 23, at 3.00 pm, at the Infant Jesus High School playground, Cuncolim, Goa.Interested players are required to report at the venue with two passport-size photographs and a copy of their Aadhaar card.For further…
