United Boys Ambaulim got the better of USC Seraulim by 3-1 to move into the finals of Curtorim Panchayat Cup 2025, organised by Maina Sports Club, at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Monday.
In an exciting semi-final match, Ambaulim took the lead in 15th minute through Visiton Fernandes to make it 1-0 in first half.
In the second half, Ambaulim doubled the lead through Soweil Fernandes in 38th minute. Ambaulim scored third goal through Alfiano Fernandes in 43rd minute to make it 3-0. Seraulim pulled one goal back through Nayab Khan in 48th minute to make it 1-3. Seraulim tried best to score but Ambaulim defended well till the final whistle.
UB Ambaulim will now meet the winners of the second semi-final between DBO Fatorda and PY Nuvem in finals on November 9. Savlon Fernandes (UB Ambaulim) was awarded man of the match by Suresh Satarkar (Veteran player of Solva Raia) in presence of Inacio Noronha.
