United Club of Seraulim pipped Navelim Villagers Union with a solitary second-half goal in their Varca Panchayat Cup clash, held at the Varca Football Ground on Friday and organised by Varca Sports Club.
The first half saw both teams locked in a goalless battle, with neither side able to break the deadlock.
The breakthrough came in the 34th minute when Selroy Fernandes netted the winner for United Club of Seraulim with a well-placed shot that left the Navelim goalkeeper with no chance.
Selroy Fernandes was deservedly named Man of the Match for his match-winning performance.
