The Vinod Dhamaskar Cricket Academy (VDCA), representing Goa in the under-14 invitational cricket tournament in Agra, went down fighting to JB Shiv Academy by 17 runs on Sunday.
Batting first, JB Shiv Academy were bowled out for 137 in 33.2 overs. Manav Y (28), Sumit Raghuvanshi (26) and Yug Yadav (19) were the main contributors with the bat. VDCA’s bowling attack was led by Parth Sankpal (3/24), supported by Arjun Nemikal (2/26), Rehan Khan (2/25) and Tarak Chittam (1/12).
In reply, VDCA were bundled out for 120 in 37.4 overs despite a fighting effort from Ruman Mulani (20), Arjun Nemikal (17), Aarav Parmar (15 not out) and Rehan Khan (14). Raj Hajare also chipped in with 11 runs.
For JB Shiv Academy, Ajay starred with the ball, claiming 3/11, while Yug Yadav (2/26), Sumit Raghuvanshi, Shrest Kumar and Vivek Gola picked up a wicket each.
