The V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) secured the Overall Runners-Up position at the Intercollegiate Swimming Championship 2025“26, marking a significant milestone in the institute’s sporting achievements.
The championship saw participation from colleges across the state, with VMSIIHE’s swim team standing out for their medal-winning performances. The team claimed a total of four medals ” one gold, two silver, and one bronze ” contributing to their overall success at the event.
Medal Winners: Anoushka Rodrigues (Gold in Backstroke, Silver in Freestyle), Aditi Nahar (Silver in Breaststroke, Bronze in Freestyle), Vidhatri Kolekar acknowledged for her key role in the team’s performance.
The team was coached and mentored by Subham Lokre, Director of Physical Education & Sports at VMSIIHE.
Speaking on the achievement, Prof. Irfan Mirza, Director and Principal of VMSIIHE, said, “This achievement reflects the true spirit of VMSIIHE ” a combination of hard work, resilience, and holistic development.
